Payment Arrangement
About
Each payroll group within the scheme will have a unique payment arrangement number associated to it. This is used for collecting contributions and is allocated by Scottish Widows prior to setup.
We have made some recent changes
- You will not be able to authorise multiple files for the same payment arrangement on the same day. The default collection date is the 19th of the month following the month in which contributions were deducted. You can select an earlier date if you wish.
- For contributions normally paid by BACS or Cheque (not Direct Debit) the date of investment will be the date your payment and employee contribution file is received by Scottish Widows, subject to our policy provisions.
- It?s important that you don?t miss file uploads for zero earning weeks as AssistMe won?t allow you to upload any subsequent files when pay recommences.
Multiple pay groups/payments
About
If you have multiple notifications on your home page you need to ensure you are authorising the correct payments. Please check the payment arrangement associated with the pay group within the Bank Details button before proceeding.
Opted out/cancelled contributions
About
If your employee has opted out between assessment and authorising the payment(s) then these employees contributions will be displayed on the authorisation screen. These payment(s) will be deducted from the total amount and are shown as 'cancelled payments'.
Monthly payments
About
Monthly payments are payable at the end of the month. Payment dates are presented as a drop down based on the earliest and latest dates calculated:
Earliest date - today's date plus seven working days or the default date shown, whichever is the later
Latest option - 19th of the calendar month following the month's pay date.
Weekly payments
About
Weekly payments will have a calendar option so that you can select a relevant date.
If the payroll is weekly but you pay monthly, the payment authorisation workflow cannot be completed until the last upload in complete. The authorise link will not be available until that time.
